MAKING THE CHANGE TO
"MIND NUDGES"
In April of 1998 I began publishing
SELLING SAVVY... ONLINE,
a free newsletter containing current news about online marketing, editorial
comment--often from a warped point of view--the best articles available, plus a few
classified ads.
"MIND NUDGES"
I began with this definition:"Savvy" comes from "savoir faire," that famous French expression meaning "to know (what) to do" at all times. Selling goods and services on the Internet, this ever-expanding marketplace, is like moving to a new country. You might need to learn the language, the customs, the manners, and the formatting.
Early positive reponses from readers encouraged me. However, marketing gurus told me I should change my tune to a hard sell. That went against my grain, but I tried it anyway and lost my sense of humor to boot. Through the years I came to appreciate the Internet as an amazingly fast source of information as well as an unsubstantial source. There are more "savvy" online marketers than I want to count. I recommend only those I have met personally and have come to trust. From the vast amount of substantial information I gleaned, and from personal experience, I concluded that success at any endeavor comes from opening your unconscious mind and taking a good look. For that reason I am no longer publishing "Savvy" and offer you instead what I expect will challenge your thinking. I'll let the savvy marketers make all the money. I will simply try to "make you happy" even though I know that you are the only one in the world who can do that.
